Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas admits the side allowed FC Porto to score two easy goals in the Champions League on Wednesday night. The Gunners went down 2-1 in Portugal in the Round of 16 match mainly due to aglaring mistake from goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski for the first goal with the second goal coming from a quickly-taken free-kick after a disastrous backpass from Sol Campbell that manager Arsene Wenger believed should have been recalled because his side did not get a chance to defend.
But Fabregas simply stated that the players made 'schoolboy' errors which effectively lost them the game.
"Maybe as a player I would have done the same to try to score," he said.
"When you concede these goals you cannot go anywhere, schoolboy goals, what can you do?" he added.
"Maybe we are still a little soft in that aspect, as a team when we concede we are not strong enough to lift ourselves, we were not strong enough to stand up and play well."
