FA YOUTH CUP: Abraham brace leads Chelsea to first leg triumph over Man City

Tammy Abraham scored a brace as Chelsea beat Manchester City 3-1 in the first leg of the FA Youth Cup final at the Etihad Campus on Monday.

The Blues took the lead after seven minutes when 18-year old Abraham chested the ball down and unleashed home his 35th goal of the season from just inside the box.

The lead lasted just two minutes when Brandon Barker dribbled past a couple of challenges before playing in Isaac Buckley-Ricketts who slotted the ball home.

Chelsea went back in front for a second time from a corner as Abraham acrobatically fired in his second goal of the game, and 36th of the campaign, from seven yards out.

The Manchester club pressed in search of an equalizer but it was Chelsea who extended their lead through Dominic Solanke in the dying stages.

Chelsea are the current holders of the competition and will take a two-goal advantage to London for the second leg at Stamford Bridge on 27 April.
