Fabian Delph reserved special praise for Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood in the wake of Sunday's FA Cup semi-final triumph.
The West Midlands club defeated Liverpool 2-1 at Wembley to set up a final date with Arsenal on May 30 and captain Delph, who scored the 54th-minute winner, was grateful to Sherwood for the influence he has had since arriving at Villa Park.
"The gaffer (Sherwood) is brilliant. He's positive with everybody. He doesn't panic. He's got a game plan and we stuck to it and there were a lot of young lads in the team," he told BT Sports 1.
Philippe Coutinho opened the scoring for Liverpool in the 30th minute before Christian Benteke responded six minutes later prior to Delph's winner.
