Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho has stated that Liverpool can avoid their campaign turning into a disaster by claiming the FA Cup.Liverpool's dreams of a Champions League finish was crushed after they succumbed to a disappointing 4-1 loss at the hands of Arsenal on Saturday and many feel that the Reds will find it difficult to motivate themselves from now till the end of the season as they do not have much to play for.

However, Merseyside giants can still end the current campaign with a trophy to their name by claiming a victory in the FA Cup and speaking ahead of the Quarter Final replay against Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park, midfielder Coutinho has stated that winning the prestigious domestic title would salvage their season.

"Winning the cup would save our season," Coutinho said. "It is very important for us to have that as an objective. We have to pick ourselves up after what happened against Arsenal to get the results that we need.

"It would be a successful season to finish fifth and win the cup, but we want to be in the Champions League. That is our primary objective. We have seven games left and we have to see what happens."
