Henrik Larsson has revealed that he could never understand former Celtic teammate Paul Lambert.
The Swedish striker and the Aston Villa manager were part of the Hoops side which were narrowly beaten by FC Porto in the 2003 UEFA Cup final and Larsson says he had a hard time understanding the thick Scottish accent of former midfielder Lambert.
"We were known as a physical side who were good in the air but we had a lot of international players. There was much more to our team than that," he said.
"One of my teammates was Paul Lambert who is now Aston Villa boss.
"For six years, I played snooker with him every day.
"Paul was from Paisley and had a very strong accent.
"So every single day I had to say to him: 'Excuse me, what did you just say?'"
