Paulo Dybala possesses the quality to have a similar impact at Juventus, just as club legend Alessandro Del Piero did before him.

That is the sentiment of former Bianconeri star David Trezeguet who was full of praise for first-year Juve striker Dybala during the week.

The 22-year-old Argentine joined the Turin giants from Palermo last summer and has quickly adapted to life with the Serie A champions-elect by scoring 16 goals in 31 league appearances for a total of 20 goals in all competitions in his debut campaign in black and white.

Trezeguet feels that Dybala has the ability to take the next step at the Juventus Stadium to go just some of the way to emulating Italian hero Del Piero.

“Obviously has has already proved that he has got that sort of skill, that in the future he can become a sort of champion like Del Piero for example," Trezeguet told Tribalfootball.com.

“He is a super interesting player but he's also very young.

“He's got a winning mentality and that is what has probably made the difference this season in that he is about to win his first ever league title.

“It wasn't obvious that he would fit in right away with Juventus but he has since proved he can, so that is a huge plus and proves that there is something special in him.

“At the same time, he is young, and he knows that Juventus want to win everything every single season so it has to be constant, but consistency is not such an easy thing to find, so it is something he will have to work on to showcase these skills of his."

Trezeguet was in Melbourne speaking as his Juventus' ambassador at the launch of the 2016 International Champions Cup Australia, presented by Audi which takes place at the MCG between the Serie A champions, Spanish giants Atletico Madrid, Premier League title-chasers Tottenham Hotspur and current A-League title holders Melbourne Victory in late July.
