Brentford are in talks with Excelsior coach Marinus Dijkhuizen.

The Bees are in the market for a new manager after agreeing to part ways with Mark Warburton last week.

Excelsior have confirmed Dijkhuizen is now speaking with Brentford about a move to London.

"For Marinus it is awfully nice, for us, this is of course bad.

"We were happy to continue with him for longer," lamented CEO Ferry de Haan.
