Released Aston Villa goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen is a target for Stoke City.

The Denmark goalkeeper has been without a club since leaving Aston Villa and has been in negotiations with Turkish giants Galatasaray.

But he wants to stay in England and is heading for the Potteries for talks and a brief trial, with Stoke boss Tony Pulis wanting to look at him before he commits to buying Sunderland reserve Marton Fulop, says the Daily Mail.
