Former Aston Villa defender Martin Keown believes the Midlands side could manage to hold on to striker Christian Benteke thanks to current boss Tim Sherwood. Benteke has eight goals in eight games under Sherwood and Keown says: "He must feel he has won the lottery because he has a manager who generates everything to him.
"It's a nice position for the club if they are fending off offers for him but they will face that situation if it arises. But Fabian Delph was persuaded to stay when everyone thought he was leaving.
"Villa are a big club with an ambitious manager and he is banging the drum and the players are following him. Benteke would not want to run away from that."
