Harry Redknapp believes Jordan Henderson should not be chasing a larger contract as he is still yet to prove himself at Liverpool.
Reports suggest that the 24-year old midfielder, who is tipped to be the successor to departing captain Steven Gerrard, has rejected a lucrative offer to remain at Anfield.
That news has not been met positively by Redknapp who is of the belief that Henderson needs to concentrate on his football before worrying about what he earns on a weekly basis.
"Henderson has done well but he has still got a long way to go to be one of the all-time Liverpool greats. He is nowhere near that at the moment," Redknapp said on talkSPORT's 'Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast' show.
"He looks a great lad, a good player, but get on with your football and keep progressing. Keep playing your football and thank your lucky stars you are at a club like Liverpool."
