Ex-Sunderland chairman Quinn explains Fulham role

Former Sunderland chairman Niall Quinn has explained his role in Fulham's manager search.

Quinn is part of a five-man committee appointed by owner Shahid Khan to find Felix Magath's successor.

He said: "They recognised that I helped to do something right up at Sunderland some years ago.

"They are looking for some outside help alongside four other Fulham stalwarts to form the criteria and form the best list possible to come up with the right man for the job at Fulham. It is very important."
