Sacked Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill is being linked with former club Leicester City.
O'Neill, axed by Sunderland last month, will replace Nigel Pearson after City's promotion failure, saysThe Sun.
He had five years at the Foxes before moving to Celtic in 2000.
A source said: "The owners are aware of his achievements here."
