Former Sunderland boss Dick Advocaat is ready to jump back into football.

After securing Premier League safety with Sunderland, Advocaat left the Black Cats last week.

But he is immediately being linked with the Belgium job, where coach Marc Wilmots is interesting Schalke.

"Five years ago, they were just young kids coming to watch, now they all play at big clubs," Advocaat told Het Nieuwsblad, recalling his previous spell in charge of Belgium.

"However, I remain very cautious, because I honestly do not know what will happen to Marc Wilmots. But I'm excited.
