Pavel Pardo has confirmed he will extend his stay with MLS club Chicago Fire.
The 35-year old Mexican midfielder joined the Fire from Club America in July and has been a key contributor during his 12 league matches.
Pardo signed an initial six-month contract with the Fire but he has revealed that he is keen to return for the 2012 campaign and beyond.
"Of course we are talking about this situation," said Pardo. "I spoke with the people from the Fire and of course they want me to be here for next year and I want to be here - not [just for] one year, I want to be here more years.
"I'm very [comfortable] with this team, with the club, with the fans - I'm just very happy to play here in Chicago."
