Ex-Standard Liege star Ciman expects high-pressure affair as Montreal Impact get set for Club America

Montreal Impact defender Laurent Ciman believes Club America will be out to atone for their poor performance on the weekend.

The Liga MX outfit host the Impact in the first leg of the CONCACAF Champions League final on Wednesday night on the back of their 4-0 league defeat to Queretaro.

Former Standard Liege star Ciman is aware that a team like America will be desperate to put things right after a poor showing domestically and has implored his Impact teammates to be ready.

"They'll want to pressure us straightaway, score from the get-go. They're playing in front of their crowd," he said.

"They got whacked this weekend. They'll want to make amends. It won't be easy, we know that."
