Ex-Spurs boss Sherwood blasts Lloris: He set up Son

Former Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood has questioned Hugo Lloris' role in his bust-up with Heung-min Son.

Lloris had to be held back from the South Korean attacker as Spurs heading off the pitch at half-time of their defeat of Everton.

Sherwood slammed Lloris for his “out of character" behaviour, which he feels was a “big act" designed to send a message to manager Jose Mourinho.

Sherwood said: “Do it in the dressing room. I wouldn't do it for the show.

“I think he's done it for the show there. It's very out of character for Hugo, he hardly says a word!

“He's wearing the armband for his performances and he's captain for France too, where he won the World Cup. He's a very good goalkeeper but very level-headed [normally]. This is totally out of character.

"They do care [ Tottenham 's squad], I'm sure they care – there's not a player there that doesn't care. But a premeditated little scuffle on the pitch? It's not my cup of tea. It should be left for the dressing room.

“If they're going to have a fight then have a fight. Not putting someone in between them. It was like a big act.

“I've been in games where there has been fights but the red mist comes over and there's no stopping them.

“But nobody wanted to fight there. It was premeditated in my opinion. It's something that should be left to the dressing room."
