Harry Redknapp has recalled working with Adel Taarabt at Tottenham.

The midfielder is currently impressing with Benfica.

Redknapp admits he liked Taarabt as a player, though claims about his potential were overblown.

He told Pianeta Milan: "Winning the Ballon d'Or? He wasn't that strong (laughs).

"Adel is not a bad guy, but he never gave everything to be the fantastic player he could have been, given his talent. He had a huge talent , but very little will."
