Ex-Spain coach Enrique blasts 'vermin and vultures'; reveals Premier League ambitions

Former Spain coach Luis Enrique has offered an explosive interview this morning.

On Cadena SER Gijon, Enrique insists there was nothing planned in offering to speak after last night's defeat for new Spain coach Luis de la Fuente in Scotland.

He said, "I'm passionate when I work, but when I don't, I dedicate myself to my things and now it's time for this interview that we had already talked about. With such good luck, that what happens yesterday happens and I say, it seems that I am going to do an interview the day after Spain loses."

Asked about accusations he lacked a "Plan B" during the World Cup, Enrique barked: "The vermin and the vultures, taking advantage of their second in glory, I don't care.

"I feel proud of my time as a coach. I made many mistakes, I would only be missing, but I made decisions and I'm super proud."

On his streaming during Qatar 2022, he said: "They bark, then we ride. It's a good sign. You can't like everyone, or control what is said about you. And I, already I have an age, I face it with intensity. And when I'm no longer here, well, I don't care what they say."

Asked about his future, the former Barcelona coach, who has been linked with Tottenham and Chelsea, revealed: "I'd like to go to England to work, you know, I don't hide it. I've seen a lot of football, but I also follow the games here, logically.

"I don't see myself in the Premier (immediately) because it's very difficult for the moment to come. I'm not going to go to any team, I'd like to go to an important team, there are a number of very small teams and there are many good coaches bidding for that position."
