Former Southampton striker Alan Shearer couldn't see a way out for Nathan Jones before this morning's dismissal.
Jones was sacked after yesterday's defeat at home to Wolves.
Shearer, speaking on BBC's Match of the Day after analysing the clips, said: “They've lost seven of their eight Premier League games, one last clean sheet in the last 27. The crowd has turned and it's going to be very difficult to get them back.
“Particularly with what he said last week, and now the circumstances of what has happened this weekend, being one up and quite happy with that."
The Premier League legend added: "The way it turned on them in the second half, you cannot accept those stats. It says to me the players are not enjoying what they're doing."
