Former Southampton defender Jos Hooiveld has questioned Liverpool's interest in Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat.

Liverpool are being linked with the Morocco international.

But Hooiveld, speaking on Voetbalzone, doesn't believe his game has enough quality to suit Liverpool.

The Dutchman said, "You have to open and respond a little faster.

"You have to add that to break open the game because opponents drop back. I think Amrabat just misses that part for the very top clubs in England."
