Ex-Scotland, Birmingham, Villa boss McLeish lands Genk job

Belgian club RacingGenk have confirmed the appointment of Alex McLeish as their new manager.

The 55-year old former Rangers, Scotland, Birmingham City and Aston Villa boss has signed a two-year contract with the Pro League outfit after last managing Nottingham Forest in February 2013.

McLeish replaces Emilio Ferrera at the Cristal Arena with the club currently sitting 13th in the Belgian top flight.

"KRC Genk is proud to present its new trainer - Alex McLeish," Genk posted on their Facebook page.

"He signed a contract for two seasons. Welcome, Mr Alex McLeish."
