German defender Andre Kilian is delighted with his move to North Queensland Fury.
Following eight years in the system of Bundesliga giants FC Schalke 04, captaining the reserves team, he believes he is ready to take his game to the next level in Australia.
''In Germany it is the fourth league where I played last year, so I get the chance to play in the first league in Australia and it's good,'' Kilian, who has moved in with Fury teammates Panagiotis Nikas and Isaka Cernak, told the Townsville Bulletin.
''It's a first league, the sports science is here better than in a second team in Germany and I get a chance to play on a good standard (and) I think here are good players.
''(I want) to make the difference (in) the game, show players what is new, what is different to Germany. I hope I can bring some experience, I think it will be good.''
