Mark Robins could be back in football at Preston North End.
The Daily Mail says Robins is a frontrunner for the manager's job at Preston.
Robins' former Manchester United teammate Paul Ince and Jim Magilton are also under consideration. Graham Alexander and David Unsworth remain in charge for another three games.
