Former Dutch star Rafael van der Vaart has spoken of working with Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid.
The pair came together in the 2010/11 season.
Van der Vaart told talkSPORT: "He is an incredible coach. An honest guy and I think that all the players who worked with him cannot point out anything bad. That means that he always protects his players."
Van der Vaart also recalled how Mourinho encouraged him to leave for Spurs.
He added: "Mourinho said to me: 'Rafa, I'm going to buy (Mesut) Ozil. So I think it is best to change clubs. If you stay, that's fine, but you are too good to be on the bench. Try to go to another club'.
"I went to Tottenham."
