Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon says it should be no surprise Kylian Mbappe wants to join the Spanish giants.

The PSG star is set to announce he will leave for Real Madrid at the end of the season.

Calderon told BBC Sport: "Real Madrid offers these players not only money, because they can get that in other teams, but also glory, titles, collective and individual awards, the Ballon d'Or... That is important because the image of the players players can be very important for the rest of the world.

"When they sign for Madrid, Madrid gives them a lot in return.

"I know that Mbappé is a very well-known player, but when they come to Real Madrid their image grows much more than if they go to another club. It's my opinion.
