Royston Drenthe is determined to get back to his best after completing a loan move to Sheffield Wednesday.
The 27-year old Dutch winger joined the Owls on loan from Reading on deadline day and is keen to rediscover the form he has enjoyed while with Real Madrid and Everton in the past.
"I cannot wait to start because I need to be playing football," Drenthe, who has struggled for game time with Reading, told Wednesday's official website.
"Everyone at Reading has been great with me but I am a footballer who needs to be playing games.
"As soon as I was told of the interest from Sheffield Wednesday, my reaction was 'get me there' because this is such a great club and one that I think is going places."
Drenthe will get the chance to make his debut for the Owls when they take on Bolton in the Championship next weekend.
