Marcus Hahnemann is determined to continue playing at Major League Soccer level with the Seattle Sounders.
The 41-year old former USA, Fulham, Reading, Wolves and Everton goalkeeper has recently completed a 20th season of professional soccer but has hinted at perhaps playing on if there is a role for him at CenturyLink Field.
"I was just on a one-year (deal). I've been on a one-year now for the last eight years," he said.
"I can't do the things that I used to do, but I think I still have something to offer the team, and I still want to play.
"I need to decide quickly so I don't go too nuts this offseason and make sure I'm in the right frame with everything, my mind and my body, especially.
"I'm now 41, right? I'm pushing the envelope quite a bit. It's not like I'm 25 or 22 or 30 or 35, but my body is still hanging in there."
Hahnemann made six MLS appearances for the Sounders in 2013, including two in the playoffs, which ended at the hands of Cascadia rivals Portland Timbers on the weekend.
