Former QPR and Manchester City boss Mark Hughes is in line for the job at Leeds United.
Neil Warnock walked away from Elland Road yesterday.
The People says Hughes succeeded Warnock at QPR in January 2012 but was sacked in November after a disastrous 13-match winless start to the season.
Yet Leeds' new owners GFH Capital want to appoint a high-profile boss and it is understood that former Manchester City chief Hughes is at the top of their list, though Nigel Adkins was in line for the post until he took over at Reading this week.
