Ex-PSV, Rangers boss Advocaat indicates Sunderland job will be his last

Dick Advocaat has revealed that managing Sunderland will be his last job in the caper.

The 67-year old Dutchman took the reins from Gus Poyet in March and has since guided the Black Cats clear of the relegation zone courtesy of two straight wins.

Regarding his future at the Stadium of Light, Advocaat gave nothing away in regards to whether or not he will be on Wearside next season but did state that this is his last role in football management.

"Did I take a risk coming here? No," said Advocaat in the wake of Saturday's 2-0 triumph over Everton.

"I tell you why - this is my last job. I've had a great career, won a lot of prizes and I'm really enjoying what I'm doing now.

"Hopefully we stay up. If not, I have still enjoyed my time at Sunderland."

Pressed further on how long he will remain at the helm at Sunderland, Advocaat added: "No, no, no - I don't want to discuss it, if you don't mind.

"I cannot say - if I do, I get a divorce!"
