Harry van Raaij believes PSV Eindhoven must sell star pair Memphis Depay and Georginio Wijnaldum to balance the books.
Depay is expected to move to England this summer, where Manchester United and Liverpool are keen, and former PSV chairman Van Raaij says Wijnaldum, a target for Arsenal, should also be sold.
"The departure of Depay and Wijnaldum is needed to solve things," he says in interview with De Telegraaf. "Then there will be enough money in to strengthen the team in multiple positions.
"PSV cannot afford to enter the Champions League with a team that does not make sense.
"Therefore, the club will again have to be very inventive in the transfer market, as this year they succeeded with the great Andrés Guardado."
