Former Palermo defender Matias Silvestre is delighted with his move to Inter Milan.
Silvestre joined on an initial season-long loan yesterday.
"I was 16 and I had just been added to the Boca first team squad," the Argentine told the Gazzetta dello Sport. "I never got the chance to play in the same side as (Walter) Samuel, but that was always a desire.
"Therefore I can now realise a childhood dream by playing alongside him for real."
The 27-year-old will also be reunited with Rodrigo Palacio after he joined the Stadio Meazza boys from Genoa.
"He was with me at Boca and he is a dear friend," the former Catania man added. "He's bombarded me with messages in recent weeks, asking me to not join Milan "
