Toronto FC are on the verge of signing Darel Russell according to Sky Sports.
The 32-year old forward is available as a free agent after leaving Portsmouth in late January and has reportedly impressed during a trial with the Canadian club.
Russell has spent time with both Norwich City and Stoke City as well as stints with Preston North End and Charlton Athletic and it is believed that he will soon link up with TFC for whom former Canaries defender Jim Brennan is first team coach.
