Former Melbourne Victory star Danny Allsopp has netted a brace to help guide DC United to their first win of the season in MLS.

The 31-year old fired home in the 12th and 34th minutes of the clash with Kansas City Wizards at RFK Stadium in Washington which ended 2-1 to the home side following a late Kei Kamara goal for the visitors.

The goals were Allsopp's first since joining from Qatari club Al-Rayyan in January and gave DCU their first maximum points in their sixth match of the 2010 season.
