Ex-Mariners midfielder Bozanic loving life with Luzern

Oliver Bozanic has kicked off his career with FC Luzern in fine fashion.

The former Central Coast Mariners midfielder has netted five goals in six outings for the Swiss Super League outfit to lead the scoring charts for the third-placed club.

Bozanic is now being touted as a possible bolter for Holger Osieck's Australia squad for next year's World Cup but admits he is only focused on continuing his brilliant form at club level.

"I've had a really good start and I am just trying to continue what I've been doing and hopefully it will keep working for me," he told SBS.

"There's no real secret to it, other than the fact I am playing in a more advanced role than at the Mariners.

"We have two attacking midfielders at Luzern and I am one of them and I'm enjoying getting in the box and getting on the end of some crosses.

"The team is going well, and so, right now, am I. It's about being in the right position at the right time and I've been lucky.

"Being the leading scorer in the competition is really a dream start for me."

He added: "It's very early on for me here and it's really all about cementing my spot with Luzern. I have had a great start and hopefully if I keep going well a chance with the Socceroos may come."
