Former Manchester United and Fiorentina striker Giuseppe Rossi is set to train with Villarreal.

The 32-year-old is without a club since 2018, when he left Genoa.

He will be hoping that he can get himself up to fitness and attract an offer from a top flight team somewhere in Europe.

Rossi was in his best form when he played for Villarreal a few seasons ago, managing 82 goals in his time at the Yellow Submarines.

His career was shortened by significant injury problems, with his knee giving him the most issues over the years.
