Released Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani is under consideration at Borussia Dortmund.

Sport1 says Cavani is being considered by BVB after losing Sebastien Haller due to a cancer diagnosis.

Cavani is a free agent and can step in for Haller as he undergoes treatment.

The 35 year-old has fielded enquiries from Italy and Spain, along with South America.

However, Cavani has welcomed BVB's interest and let it be known he'd welcome a move to Germany.
