Former Manchester United, Liverpool and West Ham star Paul Ince's name has emerged as a surprise contender to take the manager's job at Portsmouth.
The ex-Blackburn Rovers boss, who had his second spell in charge of MK Dons this season, has reportedly met with Pompey administrator Andrew Andronikou as he joins the short-list of candidates which includes Notts County boss Steve Cotterill and former Reading and Watford mentor Brendan Rodgers.
With Avram Grant's departure, the race for the top job at Portsmouth is beginning to heat up and Ince is now the frontrunner following discussions.
