Former Manchester United scout Ed van Stijn has urged Memphis Depay to think carefully about leaving PSV Eindhoven.

PSV coach Philipp Cocu concedes he expects Depay to be sold, with the likes of Manchester United, Tottenham and Real Madrid keen.

But Van Stijn says: "There are plenty of examples of players who have decided to leave for a top club too quickly and ultimately failed.

"Depay must not do the same.

"But given his professionalism, I believe he should be fine."
