Former Manchester United midfielder Quinton Fortune has been handed trials by Birmingham City.

Fortune will link up with Alex McLeish after he accepted an offer to train with the newly-promoted Premier League club.

Since leaving Old Trafford, the South Africa international turned out for Bolton, Sunderland before heading to Italy for Brescia and AFC Tubize.

His ex-team-mate Roy Keane has also expressed an interest in taking him to Ipswich Town.
