Aston Villa have appointed Tony Coton as their specialist goalkeeping scout.

Coton worked at Manchester United under Sir Alex Ferguson for over a decade till 2008 and now the 53-year old will be responsible for the recruitment process of future goalkeepers at Villa.

Coton had been working as a scout for Championship side Bolton Wanderers recently and will reunite with manager Tim Sherwood, who was his teammate at Watford during their playing careers.
