Gary Neville believes Raheem Sterling's representative is to blame for his issues with Liverpool.
The 20-year old winger wants to depart Anfield despite the fact the Merseyside club are offering him a lucrative contract extension to stay put.
Over the course of this season, Sterling has mainly be in the headlines for the wrong reasons and former Manchester United captain Neville believes a lot of it has to do with his agent Aidy Ward.
He said Sky Sports' 'Monday Night Football': "I genuinely believe you should make your own mistakes.
"Liverpool are a great football club, offering a great opportunity to Raheem Sterling. He's got two years left on his contract. It cannot be the right thing to go out and do these kind of things.
"Your job is to keep them out of the headlines, make the football headlines, not make the controversial headlines."
