Former Manchester United and Burnley defender Richard Eckersley is training with Elche.

Following a successful loan period from Burnley, Toronto FC signed Eckersley permanently and he made over 50 appearances for the club.

But injuries restricted him in his final season at Toronto before he made the move to fellow MLS side New York Red Bulls last year.

He is now a free agent and hoping he can impress manager Fran Escriba so to secure a dream move to Spain with Elche.
