Ex-Man Utd boss Mourinho turns down Guangzhou Evergrande due to...

Former Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho rejected a lucrative offer from Chinese Super League club Guangzhou Evergrande.

It's suggested he decided against taking the reigns at the club for family reasons.

The Guardian says Mourinho was tempted by an eyewatering contract which would have exceeded the £15m he was earning at Manchester United before he lost his job almost mid-way through last season.

However, it is understood he did not want to cause his family problems with a move to Asia.

Mourinho has two children, one of whom is still a teenager, and was apparently not willing to go through with the upheaval the move would cause.
