Former Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson admits he couldn't allow self-doubt to creep in during his 26 years in charge.
Even when things went against him, Ferguson admitted self-assurance was a crucial leadership trait.
"I never doubted myself," he said.
"Even in the dark days when I first joined Manchester United, I knew that what I was doing was completely right."
