Sources close to Chinese Super League Shaanxi Chanba have said that Sun Jihai has joined them.

The 32-year old former Manchester City right-back is believed to have signed with Shaanxi but the length if the deal is unknown.

Sun is a former China national team player and has had a successful career in England as well as in China. He began his career with Dalian Wanda in 1995 before moving to Crystal Palace in London in 1998. He then returned to China to join Dalian Shide before finding himself back in the UK, this time with Man City.

After his stint at Eastlands, Sun moved to Sheffield United in 2008 before joining their partner club Chengdu Blades where he played last season.
