Former Manchester City striker Rodney Marsh says LA Galaxy's deal for Liverpool icon Steven Gerrard will surpass the impact of David Beckham's deal.
Marsh, who moved Stateside to join the Tampa Bay Rowdies in 1976 and currently lives in Florida, insists the move will be huge for the game in the US.
"The media over here [in America] has gone apoplectic with Steven Gerrard's signing," he told talkSPORT.
"There's as much interest, if not more, than when David Beckham moved. It's a massive singing."
