Macclesfield Town boss Keith Alexander has signed up former Liverpool trainee Craig Lindfield on a short-term contract. The striker has previously spent time on loan at League Two rivals Accrington, Notts County, Bournemouth and Blue Square Premier side Chester.

He told the club's official website: "I'm pleased to be offered a chance here at Macclesfield. I've been with the club for about two weeks now. I've been working hard and it's obviously paid off so I've got this chance.

"As long as I work hard in training and show what I can do when I get a chance then I'm sure I'll be able to do well for the club."
