Former Liverpool and Fulham striker Lauri Dalla Valle is determined to rebuild his career with Crewe Alexandra.
The 23-year-old signed an 18-month contract with the Alex this week, two years after a successful loan spell at the club.
"It's the best present," Dalla Valle said. "I was looking to come back here because I have very good memories of the place, the people and the fans, so it's nice to be back.
"I feel I have improved as a player since I was here last time, and I'm looking forward to showing everybody."
He also told The Sentinel: "I had a good time here before and it has given my confidence a lift just by being back.
"Now I need to work hard day and help get the rewards at the weekend for the team."
