Gerard Houllier has made it vehemently clear that Mike Petke will remain as head coach of the New York Red Bulls.
The 37-year old guided the Red Bulls to the 2013 MLS Supporters' Shield in his first season as manager and regardless of the result in Wednesday night's Eastern Conference semi-final second leg against Houston Dynamo, will stay on in 2014 according to Red Bulls head of global soccer Houllier.
"He's under contract with us anyway He's got a three-year contract," Houllier said on KICKTV Live.
"Mike will stay with us. Don't worry. We'll look after him well."
