Montreal Impact star Marco Di Vaio is hoping more Italian players make their way to Major League Soccer.
The 37-year old former Juventus, Valencia and Bologna striker, who has scored 16 goals in 35 outings for the Impact, says there is plenty of interest in the American and Canadian league from players from his homeland.
"Someone told me he wanted to come here," Di Vaio told reporters on Thursday of an unnamed player who is keen on MLS.
"He asked me how the league was, how things are going. I get many questions from Italy.
"We have to do something to get those players, because they'd increase the level [of MLS]."
Di Vaio is joined by fellow Italians Alessandro Nesta and Matteo Ferrari at Montreal whilst Andrea Pisanu and Daniele Papoin are both at the club on loan from Bologna.
